J. Stephen Hawkins & Co., Inc., CPA's was founded in 1980 by J. Stephen Hawkins, CPA, CFE, CrFA. After 25 years in downtown San Diego, we recently moved to our new location in the Del Mar Highlands/Carmel Valley area of San Diego. In 2005 we entered into an alliance with ColeyHawkins, Inc., CPA's.

The alliance with ColeyHawkins, Inc makes us a full service tax and accounting firm. J. Stephen Hawkins, CPA, has a Master's Degree in taxation and for 25 years has focused on innovative and creative tax planning for high income and net worth individuals and entrepreneurs. In addtion, about 15 years ago Mr. Hawkins began using his tax expertise to assist criminal attorneys in the defense of white collar crime cases, primarily tax fraud. He later received his creditials as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Forensic Accountant (CrFA) and has since worked on numerous civil and criminal fraud investigation cases, including employee embezzlement, management and financial statement fraud, bank and mortgage fraud.
